Rebecca Carpenter is an artist primarily creating with digital photography and mixed media collages. She photographs the figure, abandoned spaces, and portraits, and also creates conceptual composited photographic compositions. She also incorporates her photography into mixed media collages, often using cold wax medium and various transfer techniques. Christopher Madden (Chris) is an artist working in Maryland, West Virginia and Washington DC. His former long career was as the Lead Banknote Picture Engraver at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing where he produced the hand engraved plates used to print US paper currency. Chris also engraved the official portrait of former President Barack Obama. Now retired, Chris has turned his full attention to painting at his Rushing River Art Studio in Augusta West Virginia, as well as painting at the National Gallery of Art in Washington and teaching at the Delaplaine Art Center. Chris is excited to field your questions about ( your) art and encourages you to get guidance on your own art practices and draw upon his long career pursuing creative acts of expression!
Lesley Riley is an internationally known multi-media artist and instructor, working in botanical printing, mixed and digital media, paint and fabric. Lesley has an extensive background in using color and pattern to create innovative art quilts, fabric collage and most recently, her award-winning modern botanical prints. She is working on her 10th craft book, has appeared on Quilting Arts TV (PBS), is a fabric designer for Northcott and an educator for Golden Paint. Lesley’s experience includes 77 podcast interviews for Art & Soul Radio, Arts Editor for Cloth Paper Scissors magazine, and professional artist coaching. Her branded product (TAP Transfer Artist Paper) for transferring art and photos onto fabric, paper and more, is sold internationally. An expert in getting things done, Lesley created a remarkable career while raising six children and later taking care of aging parents. She welcomes your questions on any of the above.
